Modular and Contextual Design
Situated amidst two major boulevards near the Holy See Temple in Tay Ninh city center, the IGC Tay Ninh School occupies a vast plot of land conducive to creating an integrated educational complex. Through collaborative discussions with educational stakeholders, the design emphasizes spatial solutions that enhance teaching and learning experiences across all educational levels, from preschool to high school.
Maximizing Daylight and Outdoor Engagement
Long openings in classroom areas strategically harness natural daylight, fostering a continuous visual connection with surrounding landmarks and points of interest. The layout incorporates outdoor courtyards that complement teaching facilities, offering students a conducive environment for learning and play. Central to the preschool block is a large round garden, fostering comfort and social interaction among children.
Optimized Spatial Organization
Adjacent to two large courtyards are additional teaching facilities, including a cafeteria, multi-function hall, and creative learning spaces. Spatial organization prioritizes movement efficiency and operational optimization, enabling seamless learning-related activities. To mitigate Tay Ninh’s hot and dry climate, connecting corridors double as pleasant buffering zones and offer cover and shade for outdoor activities.
Fluid Architectural Flows
Flexible lines and flowy architectural plates soften the built environment, encouraging diverse activities across the complex. The design facilitates a dialogue between the surrounding neighborhood and the educational institution, seamlessly blending daily household routines with learning activities.
Motion in Architecture
In-between spaces serve as dynamic connectors, framing views of the external environment while enhancing human-nature interaction. These areas stimulate movement between buildings, fostering interaction among students and educators while providing a serene backdrop for creative learning and teaching experiences.
