Moncler Grenoble: A Snowy Spectacle for Fall-Winter 2024
Moncler’s Grenoble line represents the pinnacle of the Italian luxury house’s technical skiwear division, embodying its deep-seated mountaineering heritage. Embracing its association with snowy landscapes, Moncler chose to unveil its latest Fall-Winter 2024 collection in the optimal setting: amidst the snow-covered scenery. Designer Remo Ruffini orchestrated a captivating showcase in a forest located in Saint Moritz, Switzerland, transforming the tranquil snowy trails into a mesmerizing catwalk reminiscent of a fairy tale.
Renowned for its expertise in snow-ready attire, Moncler has a storied history of providing exceptional performance wear for expeditions to mountainous terrains. From legendary journeys to the Karakorum, Makalu, and Alaska to outfitting the French national alpine skiing team for the 1968 Winter Olympic Games in Grenoble, the brand has consistently excelled in harsh environments. The Fall-Winter 2024 collection continues this legacy by merging technical proficiency with contemporary sportswear aesthetics, offering a fusion of outdoor functionality with urban-inspired designs. The runway showcased a diverse range of garments, including ski-ready jackets adorned with crochet embroideries, oversized furry boots and coats, and pullover anoraks crafted from substantial corduroy. Embracing innovation, some pieces were shaped by artificial intelligence, underscoring Moncler’s commitment to pushing boundaries in fashion. The show’s soundtrack, transmitted through headphones, added another layer of immersive experience for the audience.
Among the illustrious guests were notable figures such as Kate Moss, Paolo Sorrentino, Anne Hathaway, Alessandro Borghi, and Willow Smith, who witnessed the spectacle from the frosty stands. Meanwhile, renowned models including Emily Ratajkowski, Amelia Gray, Vittoria Ceretti, Irina Shayk, and Mariacarla Boscono graced the makeshift runway with confidence and grace. Yet, amidst the star-studded attendance, the true highlight of the evening remained the breathtaking natural environment and the impeccably tailored garments designed to endure its challenges.
