The total Covid case tally in India now stands at 4.47 crore (4,47,56,616), reflecting the ongoing challenges in combating the spread of the virus.
Despite the concerning rise in active cases, there is some solace in the fact that active cases currently represent only 0.07 per cent of the total infections. Furthermore, India continues to witness a commendable COVID-19 recovery rate, which now stands at 98.74 per cent. The number of individuals who have successfully recovered from the disease has surged to 4,41,92,837, indicating significant progress in the fight against COVID-19. However, the case fatality rate remains a concern, recorded at 1.19 per cent, underscoring the importance of continued vigilance and preventive measures.
Amidst these efforts to curb the spread of the virus, India’s vaccination campaign remains crucial. The country has administered a total of 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine under the nationwide vaccination drive, as reported on the ministry’s website. This underscores the importance of vaccination as a key tool in mitigating the impact of the pandemic and protecting public health.
