Positive Trend: Decline in Active Covid Cases to 3,380

According to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry on Friday, India has witnessed a decline in active Covid cases to 3,380, accompanied by 163 new coronavirus infections reported nationwide. The country’s total Covid case tally now stands at 4.46 crore (4,46,76,678).

Decrease in Fatalities

Despite this positive trend, the death toll from Covid-19 has reached 5,30,690, with nine fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. Among these recent deaths, six were reconciled by Kerala, while Maharashtra reported two deaths, and Delhi reported one, as per the data updated at 8 am.

Improving Scenario

The active cases now constitute only 0.01 per cent of the total infections, indicating a significant improvement in the pandemic situation. Moreover, India’s national Covid-19 recovery rate has climbed to 98.80 per cent, reflecting the effectiveness of ongoing efforts in combating the virus.

Decrease in Active Cases

In the span of 24 hours, a decrease of 22 cases has been recorded in the active Covid-19 caseload, further highlighting the positive trajectory in the battle against the pandemic. The number of individuals who have recovered from the disease has surged to 4,41,42,608, while the case fatality rate remains at 1.19 per cent.

Vaccination Progress

India’s vaccination campaign continues to make significant strides, with a total of 220.03 crore doses of Covid vaccine administered across the country under the nationwide vaccination drive, according to data available on the ministry’s website.
